Data Storage

Where We Store Your Data

Your personal information, account data, and User Content may be stored on servers located in various countries, including but not limited to the United States, European Union member states, and other jurisdictions. By using our Apps, you consent to the transfer and storage of your data in these locations.

User-Generated Content Storage

If you upload, post, or share content through our Apps (such as images, videos, text, or other User Content), this content is stored on our servers or third-party cloud infrastructure providers. This content may be accessible to other users depending on the features of our Apps and your privacy settings.

Third-Party Storage Providers

We may use third-party cloud storage and infrastructure providers to store and process your data, including:

  • Cloud computing platforms (such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
  • Database hosting services
  • Content delivery networks
  • Backup and disaster recovery services

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The retention period may vary depending on the type of information and the purposes for which it is used.

Specifically:

  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter
  • User Content: Retained until you delete it or request its deletion, or until we remove it in accordance with our Terms of Service
  • Usage Data: Generally retained for up to 24 months for analytics purposes
  • Legal Records: Retained as required by applicable law

When information is no longer needed, we will delete it or anonymize it so that it can no longer be associated with you. However, some data may persist in backups for a limited period.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Our Apps use Google Firebase for backend services, which provides enterprise-grade security:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between the App and servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security)
  • Encryption at Rest: Data stored in Firebase is automatically encrypted at rest
  • Access Controls: Firebase security rules and authentication restrict data access to authorized users
  • Secure Infrastructure: Firebase runs on Google Cloud Platform with SOC and ISO 27001 certifications

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data, and you transmit information to us at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained in the Apps.

Children's Privacy

We take children's privacy seriously. For detailed information about how we protect children in family-oriented Apps, please see our Children's Safety Policy.

General Apps

Our general-purpose Apps (games, utilities) are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in these Apps. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Family Safety Apps

Some of our Apps are family safety applications that enable families to share locations and stay connected. These Apps support families of all compositions - including families consisting entirely of adults, as well as families that include children. For families with only adult members (18+), standard privacy practices apply with no age-based restrictions.

When children participate in family groups, additional safeguards apply as described below.

Information We Collect When Children Participate

All users, including children, create their own accounts. During registration, users provide their age or birthdate for age verification purposes. When a child (under 13) creates an account and joins a family group (with parental consent), we collect the following information:

  • Account Information: Name or nickname, email address (for login), age/birthdate (for verification), profile picture (optional)
  • Authentication: Children may sign in using email, Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Apple
  • Location Data: Real-time GPS location to enable family location sharing features
  • User-Generated Content: Chat messages sent within family groups (children under 13 have limited content creation abilities)
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version (for functionality and troubleshooting)
  • Usage Data: App usage information to provide and improve the service

This information is collected solely to provide the family safety features and is not used for advertising purposes. Children can chat with family members and view content created by other family members. Children under 13 have access to limited app functionality and certain features require parental verification to use. All interactions are limited to their family group - they cannot interact with anyone outside the group.

How We Protect Children's Data

The following protections apply when a family includes children under 13:

  • Age Verification: All users provide their age or birthdate during account creation to verify eligibility
  • Adult-Created Groups: Only adults (18+) can create family groups
  • Parental Consent: Parents must verify their email and actively consent before a child under 13 can participate
  • Limited Functionality: Children under 13 have access to limited app features and certain actions require parental verification
  • Parent-Controlled: Parents maintain full control over their children's data and can view, modify, or delete it at any time
  • Purpose-Limited: Children's data is used only for family safety features, never for advertising targeting or profiling
  • No Advertising: Users identified as children under 13 do not see any advertisements in our Apps
  • No Advertising ID Collection: We do not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID) from users identified as children under 13
  • Limited Retention: Location history is retained for up to 10 days; other data is deleted when the user deletes their account
  • Parental Rights: Parents can review, download, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's data at any time

COPPA Compliance

For Apps that may be used by children, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and similar regulations in other jurisdictions. This includes:

  • Providing notice to parents about our data practices before collecting information from children
  • Requiring parental consent (via email verification and active confirmation) before a child under 13 can participate
  • Giving parents the right to review, delete, and refuse further collection
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of children's information
  • Retaining children's data only as long as necessary

Contact for Children's Privacy
